Tory lost his mom to a rare disease and was raised by his father. Due to behavioral issues, Tory moved around frequently first living with his cousin in New York and then with his Grandmother. By the age of 15 he was on his own and had to navigate life by himself. Tory was forced to grow up at an early age.

The photo was captured while he was playing basketball, seemingly unaware it was being taken.
