Despite announcing a country album in April 2021, it never materialized that year. By 2023, he confirmed on his Twitch channel that a country album was coming. Performing with Morgan Wallen and HARDY at the 2023 CMA Awards, Post Malone reached Billboard’s country charts with “Pickup Man.” In 2024, he teased new music, including collaborations with Wallen and Luke Combs, and performed at the Stagecoach Festival. Finally, he confirmed on Instagram the release of his duet with Wallen, “I Had Some Help,” on May 10, which topped charts worldwide.

Jamie turned him down, but she told him to ask again the next day when he was sober. Post Malone has mentioned before that he often writes songs for Jamie but is too shy to play them for her.
